On the 5th of May Borderliners Orienteering Club hosted the latest event in the Cumbrian Galoppen League on Gowbarrow Fell. Open fell and contour detail made for some very enjoyable courses. In places the marshes made for some very physical legs and were best avoided for the best route choices. Lakeland Orienteering Club have what is likely to be an unassailable lead for the Cumberland Cup with their strong showing of juniors on Yellow and Orange courses. Also great to see a couple of juniors taking the overall series lead on the longest, technical course (Brown). Credit must also go to those that ran Coniston fell race the day before.
