Galoppen Series 2026
Eycott Hill was the latest in the Cumbrian Galoppen series. A high pressure meant for some nice still conditions although early low cloud definitely caused runners to sit around waiting for later starts.
There was a great turn out for this easy to access area with plenty of orienteers traveling from beyond Cumbria to attend.
It was also great to see a decent turn out on the less technical courses – Yellow, Orange and Light Green.
Lakeland Orienteering Club have stolen the lead for the Borrowdale Trophy. The less technical courses are where it will be all decided over the final series of Galoppens.
